Countryside Read-A-Thon
February 25 – March 11, 2025
Please join us for our Countryside Read-A-Thon! The purpose of this event is to help foster a love of reading at Countryside! This year, our Read-a-Thon is not a fundraiser, it’s simply a fun event to spark a love of reading throughout our school.
Parents, please help your student(s) set realistic reading goals based on your child’s age and development.
Important Notes:
1. The Read-A-Thon will take place over two weeks, from February 25 – March 11, 2025.
2. Parents, no need to keep track of minutes read this year! Instead, students will find fun ways to read with the help of a reading Bingo board. Even better, if they get a bingo, they can enter to win a Scholastic Gift Card for our upcoming Book Fair!
3. What counts as reading? Any reading outside of school! Your child can read fiction, non-fiction, magazines and newspapers, poetry, etc. Listening to audio books counts too, as does being read to. Our goal is to foster a love of reading and reading comes in a lot of different shapes and sizes!
