Financial Overview

Thank you Countryside community!

Countryside Elementary PTO, a 100% volunteer 501(c)(3), relies on parents and caregivers within the community to support fundraising efforts. Contributions of time and financial support help create a positive learning and social environment for every student at Countryside.

Each year Countryside PTO raises money through various fundraisers. Looking at the prior year financials, the most significant income was generated through the Countryside Bash in the fall and Carnival in the Spring.  Other initiatives bring in the remainder of PTO income such as: annual family contribution, the Walk-a-Thon, Dine-Out fundraisers, Box Tops for Education, and Mabel’s Labels.

The money raised by the PTO benefits the school in many ways. The largest portion of funds the PTO gives to Countryside is through the Instructional Support Grant (40-50% of expenses).  This grant helps pay for:

  • Classroom enhancements, including RazKids and Scholastic News

  • Countryside’s Teaching and Learning Budget which supports the Media Center, Band, Orchestra, Special Education, Learning Specialist and other groups within Countryside.

Bringing our community together is very important, so the PTO uses money raised to help pay for events such as:

  • Kindergarten Popsicle Playdates

  • Annual events such as: Back to School Open House, All-School Party, Celebration of Cultures, Science & Imagination Fair

  • 5th Grade Kindness Retreat, 5th Grade Recognition

The PTO also helps provide funding for the following:

  • Staff support ($100 per full time and $50 per part time)

  • Classroom hospitality (Wacky Tacky and Day of Service treats)

  • Scholarships for school supplies, yearbooks, and other needs

Last but not least, money raised additionally by the PTO will go towards a new PLAYGROUND in 2023.

Most employers will either match, or partially match, a donation to a 501(c)(3).  Thanks for considering Countryside PTO for this donation!
